nAspro BBY IOL
The traditional material used in the manufacture of Intraocular Lenses for over 50 years now, has been a clinical grade of PMMA, which has been found to be suitable for implants in the human body.
The disadvantage of PMMA is that it is hard and it cannot be folded. Hence, the size of the incision in the eye for the insertion of the actual lens has to be at least as large as the diameter of the IOL.
